DayPlanner-26thMar2012-Monday

DayPlanner-26thMar2012-Monday:

Monday morning was on and that was the last exam of Aditya. He had Kannada on that day, my hubby's friend stayed with us on Sunday. I had made potato palya and chutney as side dishes for Crispy Dosa.

While I was making Aditya ready for the school, my handsome hubby had put dosas for my breakfast box and for Aditya's breakfast. I had packed Aditya's short break snacks - Biscuits. He told me about having a big party in the cab while returning back from school. So I had to pack Thumps Up, naturo mango fruit for him along with hide and seek biscuits. He is just in his 3RD Standard and hosting a party.

That day evening, I went home and prepared:
Sambar: Turnip and Potato Sambar
Rasam: Dhal Rasam
Special Dish was Finger chips/french fries.

Wow, my son enjoyed the recipes:

Step-by-Step-Clicks

Method:
  • Peel the skin of the potato
  • Wash the potato atleast for 3 to 4 times
  • Chop the whole potato into finger chips shape (as shown in above 1st picture)
  • Wash the chopped potato once again and leave it in water.
  • Add salt and chilli powder to the water where potatoes are soaked
  • Remove the potato from water dip it in all purpose flour thoroughly
  • Deep Fry it in oil
  • Remove on the colander and put it on to a plate
  • Serve it with tomato ketchup
  • Yummy yummy finger chips are ready.

This is the second attempt which I made it successful in getting the crispy-ness.

First time I did not dip it in flour so it was soft, but this time it had a little hard texture, which was crispy.
